WHAT SETS GLENVILLE TIMBERWRIGHTS APART NO new trees are cut for our frames. We use only reclaimed, recycled timbers that are resawn, remilled, planed and fashioned into joinery, so we’re easier on the environment. That’s a win/win situation. Our frames won’t shrink or crack or warp. Our joinery remains as tight and as beautiful as the day the frame was erected. Why would anyone use newly cut trees anymore? We take the time to listen to your ideas and needs. Our initial meeting involves a sit-down conversation to get to know you and to discuss your interest in timber framing and to introduce you to our methods of construction. We will make a site visit to your property to make sure that your future home is sited to take advantage of the winter sun while keeping the heat out in the summer. Best window views and best curb side appeal are discussed in detail. We will meet with you in our new shop and show you our cutting facility. You will have a chance to meet the craftsmen who will turn your dreams into reality and to see them in action. You don’t need to see an architect before bringing your ideas to us. We have an in-house designer who’s a graduate of the UW-Milwaukee School of Architecture. We will make certain your house plan and the timber frame work together to be most aesthetically pleasing. We will take you on a tour of our model home where you can see the sizes of the rooms. It is difficult for most people to visualize footage; however, when you’re standing in a 20’ X 24’ room, you can get a better feel for what you’re looking for in your new home. We will draft your plan in ArchiCad, a three D program in which you can see how your layout will look. We will work within your budget. Whole house or hybrid? You decide. We will do redrafts and revisions until we get it right. We will introduce you to our window designer who will answer all your questions on type, cost and window sizes.
We also offer mantels, trusses, flooring, window and door trim, stair parts and railings. Carry the look of the timber frame throughout the whole home! We can design and build your porches, covered walkways, gazebos, wedding arches and piecework items. Tell us what you’re interested in! We will explain our panel enclosure system in detail. Let us show you why it’s better for your physical comfort level, the environment, your construction budget and your building schedule to enclose the frame with panels than to use any other type of insulation or enclosure system. Did we mention that you will be far better insulated from outside noise, too? Timber Frame Model home - by appointment only |
