Day 1 of Frame Raising:
The Barnwood Events Center, is a 7500 sq foot wedding barn that is going up adjacent to the Capital City Bike Trail & Centennial Springs State Park immediately adjacent to Madison, WI. This has been a project more than a year in the making and is finally getting a chance to come alive. The team at Glenville Timberwrights, have kept an open dialogue between the clients, Dave and Julie Wood throughout the entire design phase of this project. “They had a grand idea and it was up to our team to deliver on their vision and turn it into a reality” – Garrett Marklowitz/Designer. In the end, it will be a building that brings the lives of many, together as one. Glenville Timberwrights started to raise this frame on Tuesday May 12, 2020. The photos above show the progress our team made on the first day of frame raising. The span of the main frame bents are 40 feet and there will be 6 bents from gable to gable covering more than 80 feet altogether. This will be an amazing addition to an already booming Madison Area. Be sure to follow our Instagram page as well as the official Instagram page of the Barnwood Events Center for more updates regarding the progress of the project.

When it is all said and done, it will be able to support weddings and other events serving up to 300 people and will have a bevy of different options included in their wedding packages. This timber frame will be fully enclosed using both SIPS roof and wall panels which will allow this building to operate in any season, under any type of circumstance.
