WHAT HAS GLENVILLE TIMBERWRIGHTS DONE IN 25 YEARS OF BUSINESS?

WE SUPPORT COMMUNITY: BUILIDNG STRUCTURES IN THE HOME AND IN THE COMMUNITY

We believe that giving back to the community is our civic responsibility. In 2007, we donated to the city a gazebo that people living today and tomorrow will be able to enjoy along the soon-to-be-completed river walk on Baraboo’s own Water Street.

We support the building trades by working in conjunction with Madison Area Technical College students who come to our shop and our home to learn about timber joinery. We have held seminars and supplied the materials for the building of a roof truss system which the students will incorporate into a vacation cabin they’re creating.

We sponsor two scholarships each year for graduating seniors at Baraboo High School: One for a student entering the building trades and another for a student who displays civic involvement.

Designed and crafted hundreds of homes, including commercial buildings, gazebos.

Hosted meetings with green builders/environmentalists, architects and builders around the state.

Lectured at A.I.A. conferences on timber framing and at deconstruction conferences on reclaimed timbers’ uses.

Had our homes and articles about Glenville Timberwrights featured in publications—local, state, regional and national.

Established connections and enjoyed good working relationships with builders in our community and throughout the region.

Been actively involved in our community through Youth Environmental Protection Services, Boys and Girls Club of Baraboo, guest lecturers at Baraboo High School’s Career Day, and riverfront development.

Given talks and tours at our home and shop for clients and interested groups.

GLENVILLE TIMBERWRIGHTS—Winner of the Area’s Business Seal of Approval

Glenville Timberwrights was honored to receive the 2007 Small Business of the Year Award for Sauk County. The award, which was based on a two-prong test of business accomplishments and community contributions, is the ultimate recognition by one’s peers and is, in essence, a stamp of the business community’s “seal of approval.” Being named as the business of the year speaks volumes about the importance of a good reputation, trustworthy business practices and commitment to customer satisfaction. The recognition, which represents these good business ethics, imparts a sense of added credibility and trust and tells our future clients that we have passed the ultimate test in our own backyard.

The Small Business award denotes the A+ rating that our company continues to uphold and is a value that cannot be purchased with any amount of advertising revenue. Our 2007 Sauk County Development Corporation Small Business Award is proudly displayed at our place of business along with our Wisconsin Friend of the Environment award from 2001.
